Our fringe show, The Fiddler Ghost, has had two successful performances for hearty and appreciative crowds. We’ve had a wonderful time creating the show and performing is a joyful and carefree experience. Please catch one of the four more shows if you can.
Thursday July 17th at 9pm, Friday the 18th at 6pm, Saturday the 19th at 2pm and Sunday the 27th at 7pm, the last day of the festival. We perform in The Forum at Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Harman Center in Chinatown at 610F St NW in downtown Washington DC. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the venue or online at CapFringe.
UPDATE: Audiences voted The Fiddler Ghost as the “Best Dance Show” of the 2008 Capitol Fringe Festival! Thank you for the support!

On Monday June 30th I participated in a 24 Hour Play Festival as part of a three week celebration of the re-opening of the Source Theatre in downtown DC. Ten playwrights met at the Source on Sunday evening, picked out of a hat a current event, a director and a cast size: then they had all night to write a play. The directors and playwrights met in the morning and from there the actors where called in. We then had all day to stage the script, memorize lines and rehearse the play. It was quite an adventure.

After a fulfilling run, The Oresteia closed and soon after I started rehearsals on an ensemble movement-based piece for the 2008 Capitol Fringe Festival with Old Lore Theatre led by Nicholas Allen and John Milosich. The piece is called The Fiddler Ghost and is based on a faerie story from the British Isles. Our ensemble of six movers/actors and one violinist are creating the show from scratch sourced from individual ideas and group exercises and experimentation. I am eager to have a more direct hand in my work and am excited to play with such fun brave artists. We will be performing in Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Harman Center in downtown DC the last two weeks of July.

I am currently performing in a production of The Oresteia by Aeschylus with Constellation Theatre. We opened May 9th and run through June 1st at the Clark St Playhouse in Arlington, VA. It is an epic production directed by Allison Stockman with a cast of twenty nine actors and a creative and dedicated team of designers and assistants. I am sacrificed as Iphegenia (hope I didn’t give it away) in the beginning and return as a Fury in the third play of the trilogy. I have had a great time with my fellow Fury ladies finding a unique physicality and vocalization for our ancient goddesses, while also getting in shape in the process! Please come out and see it if you can!

Welcome to my website. This is where I post information about my work and upcoming shows.
I spent my first fall in the District working at Arena Stage on Christmas Carol 1941, an adaptation of the Dickens by James Magruder set in Washington, DC three weeks after the strike on Pearl Harbor. During rehearsals I was a stand-in for the character of Carolyn, and then for the run of the show I was an understudy for the two children in the cast as well as a member of the wardrobe crew. It was a wonderful opportunity and introduction to the theatre community in the area.
